I've been thinking of getting a dashboard camera for my new car, just in case I get into a auto accident. I know that my dad got into a hit and run (he managed to chase down the hit and run driver and catch him), but he had a heck of a time trying to prove his case to ICBC that it was the other driver's fault (ICBC wanted to split fault 50/50). In cases like this, a dashboard camera would really help show that he wasn't at fault and that the other person was. So, what should I be looking for in a dashboard camera? I'm looking for something fairly cheap but has decent video quality. Would the ones that you see on eBay do the trick? Thanks.
