My semester next year, with calculus, seems like it's going to be much too intense. I have signed up for calculus, but I'm debating whether or not to take it in summer school. I did grade 11 math in summer school, and got an 80 while a friend of mine did grade 12 functions in summer school and got a whopping 95!
Would it be a wise idea? Or would I be doing 5 hours of homework every night?

honestly, calc was soft and i would think that taking it in summer school would be even easier. If you want the high grade, take it in the summer but i dont really know if you are going to retain the info you learned from summer school and carry it over into post secondary

That's good to here! I took grade 12 functions in grade 11 and it seems like I'm only going to end with about a 78. But, this, I'd blame on my very poor study habits this semester. My current plan is to take calculus in the summer, and re-do Functions if necessary. I don't really need to retain much of the knowledge, as I plan to go into business. My main goal is to get a high mark.

It really depends on the prof. The thing I like about summer classes is that it's over with in a short period of time. Some profs are hard and some are easy, but in general, some topics are skipped or barely touched because of time constraints. So try it, if it doesn't work out then drop it. You'll learn from it.
