View Full Version : My awful experience with autopartsway.ca

Hi all,
I've seen so many people linking to that website that I went off and got a few parts from them.

They shipped me the wrong parts (corolla 88-92 rotors instead of tercel '91-'98 rotors) .

They agreed that it was their error, so they will waive their restocking fee (wow, thanks...), but I would still have to pay the return shipping.

There's no way I'll pay 25$ to return a 40$ part, so I just lost my money because of their mistake.

I'll use rockauto.com from now on, they have good reviews.


By the way, they also made an other, less important mistake, on the same order:
They didnt ship me my bearings because they were allegedly out of stock. The thing is that they were in stock, because I re-ordered them the same day and they had them. I had to buy random parts to get free shipping because they would not allow me to get free shipping on the bearings, even though it was( again) their error).

i just read their policy and they do mention that they will waive the restocking fee if they made a mistake with their order.
Nowhere is mention about who pays the return shipping

I usually order from these guys and never had any problem

BUT i just checked their return policy and nowhere is mention that they will refund the return shipping if it is a result of their error.

Thanks for letting us know about it, we have to watch out.

I did a search on google for auto parts canada and found so many website selling parts.

i just found them, never order from them before but they seem to have good price on certain item and they do say they will refund the shipping if is their mistake.

update: Good news! I just called mastercard and I'm allowed to do a chargeback on this.

We'll see if it work.

Same thing happened to me. They made numerous mistakes as well. they make canadian tire look like geniuses.

Never had a bad experience with them. If you have a problem, call up and ask to speak to Mark. he seems very helpful.

Wow I find it strange they're all online fronts for the worldpac system and generally it's pretty good. I've ordered multiple times now. Rotors, pads, oil filters, some gaskets, etc and all of have been spot on...

I'm sorry to hear you're disappointed.

I bought rotors from them once. Arrive promptly and no errores. Phew

Never had a bad experience with them. If you have a problem, call up and ask to speak to Mark. he seems very helpful.

That was three months ago.. I just gave up on my 40$.

On another note, I forgot to say that they also double charged me on my credit card before I noticed it ..

I order from them twice and the orders arrived ok. They also did double charge my credit card once and claiming it was a system error.:confused:
