Where is a good place to buy a genuine Nikon dSLR battery? Can't believe these things for at least $75-$80 each!

http://www.sterlingtek.com for non-OEM batteries but at the fraction of the cost. If you're looking for the OEM battery expect to pay a lot unless you scour EBay and you might get lucky.

Just a warning that non-OEM batteries are hit and miss. While they are unlikely to destroy the camera, they might not have the run-time or the reliability that you have with an OEM battery.

I would never trust a non-OEM battery especially when it comes to high end electronics. I wouldn't want to destroy a $1,000 camera to save $50. I had batteries that came with electronics that over heat and leaked for no reason. Besides, it may even void your warranty as well.

I got this non-OEM battery for my Nikon D50 and so far it works well and does a good job with lasting long. Recharges fine and lasts relatively long. Got on on eBay for cheap so I dont have an issue with non-OEMs.

As I mentioned in my original post, looking for a genuine Nikon battery. I can get one at a local camera store but thought it would be cheaper online. Anyone know of a place that ships and has decent prices for this?
