I read this post
http://www.canadiancapitalist.com/transferring-us-dollar-funds-out-of-paypal/
He said he just uses a regular US dollar account with RBC and not the RBC centura.
I read somewhere that if you go into a RBC branch and ask them to open up an account with RBC centura, they don't know what your talking about and its very rare for somebody to open that account.

Paypal won't let you transfer US$ directly into a CDN US$ account. Unless the policy has changed. The only choice you have is to transfer to a US$ US based account. I have a US$ CDN RBC account and a US$ RBC Centura (now RBC Bank). I transfer from Paypal into the RBC Bank account and then do an instant transfer into my CDN based US$ RBC account.

I have been investigating the Paypal issue just recently myself with the new momentum the Canadian dollar has taken lately.
am I to understand correctly that the old trick of using a RBC NewYork routing number to directly deposit into a RBC US $ Canadian account no longer works?
