I am currently running an older generation of Ethernet over Powerline (EoP) adapters, however they cannot handle streaming HD content from my main PC.
I was looking at upgrading them to D-Link DHP-301 PowerLine HD Ethernet Starter Kit (http://www.canadacomputers.com/index.php?do=ShowProduct&cmd=pd&pid=012967&cid=NT.540) , however upon reading some reviews, people say they get no where near the 200Mbps max speed ( due to variations in the powerline quality ).
It's not practical to run Ethernet Cable ( no basement and not an easy attic to get in , plus once in it, you cannot see anything as its all covered in blown insulation , plus I need to get to the exact opposite corner of house as to where the attic access it ).
My current wireless router is G-class, so if I went with a wireless bridge, i suspect I would need to buy two N-class routers.

streaming HD on WiFi even on N draft ........ you wont able to do it.
Now EoP might able to do it. Fast Ethernet bi-directional it is lot faster then serial WiFi connection
I would put bet on EoP then WiFi

I see my local Bestbuy and Staples actually sell the Dlink EoP adapters ( Best Buy says its in stock ), my only issue with buying from either of them is that Canada Computers is about $30 cheaper and I am not sure I want to do battle with either store over the price-match. I can already hear the excuses as to why they cannot price-match it ( Canada Computers is 45 minutes away, a few towns over , so they will say they have to add next-day shipping or something lame like that )

PM-ing is always YMMV. Always feed them with the PM policy, so they got no excuses, ask for manager for clarification. If manager disagree, then complain complain complain. ;)

It's the "Complain, Complain, Complain" part that I don't always have the fight in me for. :(
I already have to head back to No Frills today to complain there. I should have learned my lesson last time ( I buy Souvlaki , PC Brand, and this is actually the 3rd time I had freezer burnt meat ). I should just rip the boxes open until I find one that is decent.
Side tracked with rage :)
I realize its a YMMV issue on pricematching ( although it shouldn't be ), however I wonder which store I might have better luck with, Staples or Best Buy ? I don't even care if they don't give me the 110%. I've be happy with a straight 100% match, just to give me the option of returning them with NO hassle and for not giving Canada Computer my money ( a few bad experiences with them in past have not been forgotten ) :)
EDIT: Just got back from Best Buy empty handed. Sales girl got the manager and used the "Canada Computers is not local" excuse. I said if I was to go to the Kingston Best Buy ( one of the towns Canada Computers is in ), would they match the price there. He said "yes" , however I suspect they will come up with some other excuse in Kingston.
