UofT/Canada's got a few programs for studying/work abroad, like SWAP, Study Abroad, International Exchange, etc.
I've wanted to do this for a while but the cost is prohibitive and I get the sense I'd save a lot more if I was paying my own way (2200 for a month of rent/food? COME ON). I want to go to Europe (especially Britain), and/or Australia. Has anyone done either one or knows more about costs?
I'm especailly interested in whether you go bursaries/scholarships to help with the cost. How much were they? Of course, if the bursaries cover so much that I just have to pay 1000-2000 bucks, I'm up for that.
I've just gotten ball park figures, like 8 grand for a summer through summer abroad, but not how much a "typical" student gets. A breakdown of expenses and income would be cool.
Thanks!
