View Full Version : Anybody help with this issue...

Recently my computer crashed and before that, all my sound (mic + speakers) were working fine
I use the front panels for the mic and headset
Since the computer crashed, i turned it back up... and my microphone does not work
This is the error i get on ventrilo

I have tried uninstalling my sound drivers, than installing it fresh

I use the ALC1200 Realtek HD sound that is integrated on my motherboard
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hmmm ... Try to uninstall the audio driver and disable it in the BIOS. Boot into Windows and shut the system down orderly. Reboot the system, re-enable it in BIOS and let Windows recognizes it once again. Let's give that a try first ...

Ok thanks i got the back panel of my microphone to work.
everytime i put in the front panel, i get that same message...

Possibly something wrong with my front panel?? >:(>:(

Front panel is usually plugged into the mobo - check if it is unplugged. Do the speakers on the front panel work?

the socket could have failed & thats why it won't work anymore.
Especialy if your back ones work just fine.

I just checked and it did not work... Although, my USB ports in the front still work

the socket could have failed & thats why it won't work anymore.
Especialy if your back ones work just fine.

So what to do now? Possibly the plug may have been loose inside the case

Then I would say those audio parts of your front pannel are done and you'll have to find another 2 to replace them or else do as I & most users do & just use the back ones anyways.
