I currently have enough redeemable Air Miles to get a TV. This TV will be mounted in the kitchen/dinning room and it will only be used for casual TV viewing. I have no plans of hooking up a DVD player or other equipment to it except possibly a laptop if the option is available (but not a requirement).

Here are my choices:

Sony KDL-32L5000

Panasonic TC-L32X1

Looking at the specs, it seems like they all have 720 resolution and not 1080. Should this be a concern?

Which one should I consider getting?

Thanks

They're all 720p set, if you're willing to spend up to $800 for a 32" TV, might as well get a 32" 1080p set, something like this 32" sharp 1080p Aquos, http://www.bestbuy.ca/catalog/proddetail.asp?logon=&langid=EN&sku_id=0926INGFS10099085&catid=23244

but since you're redeeming pts, just get the one that uses the least amt of pts, which is the panasonic one.

can you even tell the difference between 720p and 1080p on a 32 inch tv.. I got 37"/40" tv's were on the bottom end of size for starting to notice benefits from 1080p?
