I live in Brampton and was wondering where and how much would the audit cost. I'm hearing the price ranges from $300. - $600. for the initial audit, (govern, gives you $150.00 back) and the follow up is around $150.00 and govern. gives nothing back for this one.

Can anyone give me suggestions feedback etc?

Don't pay more than $300 for the initial audit (they will submit the paperwork for the $150 govt rebate).

I used Energuy (Todd in Kitchener Waterloo) and was pleased with their work.

+1. Its $300 here in the capital region but the company that got recommended will submit the rebate for half so I only spent $150. That includes the follow up 18 months later.

I think the auditor submitting the rebate forms is standard. The whole "energy" auditor thing is really a "rebate" auditor as much as anything since there would be massive fraudulant claims of the ecoEnergy grants if there wasn't something in place.

OK, I suppose they also provide some useful advice on where to spend money so people are less likely to be mislead by sales guys.

Which company charges $300.00 including the followup?

I think they all will do a pretty good job. If you are in the GTA/York Region area call Ridge Energy, they worked well for me and charged $300 initial + $150 follow up.
