If so can you scan them and show me what one looks like? Today in the morning i was at a red light and it was sunny. it didnt stop me from seeing the lights of course. But i guess the other way had the right of way before us and i slighly plulled ahead. I drive a pickup truck and when i noticed what i was doing i stopped and reversed back into place. My back space cab did not pass the line once so ever.
Would I still see a ticket even though half my truck didnt pass the line? i know its up the the officer viewing the camera pictures. Its really getting me stressed :|

In Edmonton I was driving up to an intersection with a red light camera, (southbound 91 St + 34 Ave). Since there is no countdown timer at this intersection so it is impossible to tell when it is going to turn red. As I was just about to cross over the sensors on the road the light turned so quickly from yellow to red. I slammed on the brakes but went across both sensors and saw the flash go off. But, I stopped with the front of the car just past the crosswalk and a few feet into the intersection. I backed up to the stop line. I thought for sure that I got a red light ticket. When I got home, I phoned the police traffic dept. and told them what happened and they said that I won't get a ticket. She said that the first sensor activates the camera and it takes a picture of your license plate and the second sensor causes the camera to take a picture a second or two later and takes a picture of your car actually in the intersection. Long story short it's been 9 months and I still haven't received a ticket in the mail.
Now they have speed on green on these red light camers. So if you speed through a green to avoid getting caught on a red light camera you get a speeding ticket. If you speed through a red light you get both. Another cash grab for the City of Edmonton. If they are going to do this, they better install countdown timers at every intersection that has a camera.

I THINK you'll be ok, it will take a photo when you cross the line but it will get your back plate after crossing the line. I think in this case you'll be safe or you can argue your truck did not cross the line.
