Hello RFD,

Today while playing some TF2, my computer suddenly crashed. After rebooting, my screen was filled with artifacts. These artifacts consistently crash my computer on regular base programs such as Firefox, Messenger.

I have tried the following

1) Clean my computer parts, and reslotted the graphic card
2) Run a virus scan in safe mode and normal mode
3) Uninstall the driver and driver sweeper, and then install driver again
4) Tried different version of driver

I have noticed that when I uninstalled the driver, my computer is fine (Everything runs smoothly until my graphic card is detected). Same as in Safe mode.

I am unsure what the problem is. I am considering either the card is dying or bios was corrupted.

I replaced the card with an aftermarket cooler, Runs at about 40 degrees core. There is no overclocking involved.

My setup:
E6600
Gigabyte UD3P
Sapphire 4850HD 512MB Dual Slot
4 Gig ram
1tb WD

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

What OS are you running? I'm fairly sure I know the problem, but I'm assuming you're on Vista.

I am on Window XP 32bit. Service Pack 3.

Should add that I am using 600 OCZ Stealth Stream.

If it works in safe mode, then it's a hardware problem.
