I lightly heard about this but I'm sure it's true considering my Limewire doesn't work anymore, it can't even get a connection to make searches. Does anyone know if it is true and a way around this by going to another port?

Ran into this with limewire free version before . Try d/l pro from uuum from , you know where and do a d/l again . The speeds nearly doubled , but it did take a minute for it to connect for a half decent search .

Try FrostWire

All the features of LimeWire Pro, no cost.

From the original developers of LimeWire

I downloaded the brand new version, on you know what, and still the same thing. I think Rogers blocked P2P, any way around this?

They seem to have been monitoring torrenting more tightly now. I've gone onto buying a megaupload account that I share with about five friends since everything's hosted on MU or RS anyways.

Rogers are tightening control on BT traffic now. This billing cycle, I realized that they are throttling my BT uplink to 10KB/s (used to be at least 50KB/s).

*looks over to second monitor with uTorrent running, upload speed reads: "110kB/s" Download speed reads: "1010kB/s"*

Say what?

i download consistenty at around 1mb/sec with rogers extreme however the upload speed is terrible, never exceeding 10kb/sec. I have to pay for VIP for a lot of the really good site because my ratio can never meet their expectation

My BT traffic isn't throttled but I use it as a last resort.
RS is much better :)
