I want to know if anyone here has taken any online courses with independent learning centre (ILC) and what was your experience like with them? or any reputable online courses you can recommend would be nice too.
I have completed my high school diploma, it is just that I'm planning to enroll in another degree/program this September that requires grade 12 chemistry and biology which I do not have.

ahh i've taken a course with ilc. if you're a procrastinator, DO NOT take a course with them. Seriously, trust me on this. Also- teachers take a while to get back to you when you need help. you have to email ilc that you need help, then they contact the teacher.. who then contacts you. I had to wait a week one time to get help. There's this "Ask a Teacher" chat that they have. It's helpful most of the time. good luck!

What course did u take ECSTATIC? How did you find the exam, and so basically do you just do one final exam and that will be your final mark?

I've taken four courses with ILC and my experience was a little bit different. You do need to have a lot of self discipline but you can easily ace bio n chem if u take it with them. They send you 4-5 course booklets that you have to answer and then when you're done answering all the questions you have to study for an exam that's usually worth 30% and go do it. It is very easy and straight forward. Once I finished one course in two weeks but for others it took me a while to get started because I was lazy and didn't have deadlines. You can finish these courses pretty fast if you're motivated to do it. you may want to check out the virtual school as well. Type that into google with 'tdsb'. I've never taken courses there but a few friends of mine have and had good experiences. It takes 3-4 business days for ILC to mark the answers (you can either submit them online or mail them to them but doing it online is faster). I haven't had to ask anyone for help so I'm not to sure how that works. I have a good experience with ILC. Good Luck!
