Should I go for the 3in1 package, or just the 2in1 and get the ram else where.
Also about the powersupply/case combo. People made it very clear in my first post that a good PSU is vital, whats the consensus on the Antec CP-850? and is the case actually worth that much?
thanks VERY much for any last min help, I need to make a decision before I go to bed tonight :s

Deal #1 - you paying a rather large premium on the motherboard. So that's out and ram isn't that great either.
Deal #2 - Pass .. "SE" board and bad cpu price.
Deal #3 - Case good .. PSU not so much.

Get ..
i7 920 - get the on sale price they have now (link (http://www.ncix.com/products/index.php?sku=34598&promoid=1018)
Asus P6T x58 - price match to: link (http://www.onhop.ca/Product/10625092?f=Pricecanada)
Corsair TR3X6G1600C8 - current price is fine (via "sale" link)
Antec case if you want it is fine
Corsair or Enermax PSU (620W if you see 1 video card or 800W+ if you see dual video cards in your future)
Also I'd pickup a 1TB Black for $96 .. good deal.

I fully agree with Silver Bullet. Each of those "combo deals" has a flaw with them which kills the deal and/or doesn't really get you great parts.

Its supposedly fantastic.

It got a 10 for performance, not a single corsair unit has gotten a 10 in this category. They compare this PS to the ANTEC signature which is among the best of the best.

The PSU is great, it is in fact overbuilt. As good as or better than the Signature series.

The Antec supply you picked out is proprietary meaning it will only work in Antec sellect cases. That why it's not so good get Corsair or Enermax instead so you can use it in other cases.

I don't get the point if he actually likes the case. Typically, unless your going water, its pretty much impossible to outgrow a full tower case. However it is possible to outgrow a PS.
The benefit of going antec 1200, is it allows both types of power supplies. This is a 110 dollar PS that performs like a 200+ dollar PS. So I seriously don't see the drawback if he sticks with the case.

I retract my earlier statement on "deal #3", if you plan on never (or not never but u get the idea) changing your case then go for it. I didn't look up reviews and should have, but mysticalinfluence makes a good point, if you ever wanted to change cases you'll have to sell the PSU.

unfortunately not in the GTA, and I added the $10 gift card and got free shipping on the whole lot, plus only paid 5% tax.
so $650 * 13%tax = $728
699 + 10 * 5%tax = $744
I couldn't drive to TO for $16 so still worked out I think. Plus i'm happy with the PSU/case combo I got.
I'm not sure why I would want to sell the case, do you guys find yourselves doing that often?
For me, I buy a computer and stick with it until it dies, upgrading it periodically when stuff goes on sale. With this being a full sized case, I see no reason to get another one. I'm not into modding or anything like that, so the desire for "better" isn't there.
as long as hte PSU keeps going, it will stay in there :D
oh and btw I did pick up that $96 WD 1TB that silverbullet mentioned :D all the junk is on route as we speak, go figure the PSU is on backorder and not coming with the rest of the stuff
