Not sure if this has been reported....

The Portugese Credit Union went into liqudation as of April 30, 2009.

If you have any accounts or GICs, you should contact the the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario.

Luckily, we received cheques for our GICs for the full amount.

I was going to post this here as well since they seem to be trying to hide this event.

We received our money back as well. Thank God we always make sure we don't go over the insured totals at any institution.
