I m currently at UTSC studying Management, well in high school i applied to Ryerson, decided not to go. Theres something about the fact that the school is connected to Eaton center and the entrance requirement of like 70% that gives it a bad rep. Still +1 for Ryerson due to the fact that all the hawt chicks are there ;) but concerning my future, i rather not go here, i wud prefer to take 1 year off and redo high school then go somehwere else

Ryerson used to be a bit of a dive 10-15 years back, but they have sunk a ton of money into the place in recent years, both on facilities and academics. I recently went back on campus and was pleasantly surprised. The Rogers School of business was impressive and they have been racking up awards in the last few years, both nationally and internationally. Take it from somebody who has been in the real world and seen a lot of resumes come across his desk, it absolutely doesn't matter where you attend school. I've always said to find a school with good co-op work term or on campus job placement activities; the work experience gained is more valuable that whether your business degree is from School X or School Y. A wise sage once told me that it doesn't matter where or what you study as long as you're the best at it. I still say the best hire I ever did was a kid with a philosphy degree from Laurier, because he was a fantastic communicator. The fact of where he attended and what degree he had was irrelevant in my decision.

Taking a year off to re-do high school won't help you much; it's better to get a year of university under your belt. Go to Ryerson, and hey, if you don't like it after a year, you can transfer.

another thing, entrance requirement is about 80 for Business Management now. (All of my HS friends who applied with under 80 didn't even get accepted.)

Ryerson's becoming a serious university now. (LOL....)

Wait, so you are ...

- in second year
- want to take 1 year off to repeat senior year of high school
- and is worried about Ryerson University's reputation

You should worry less about reputation and try to successfully complete your degree requirements. It seems that you are not performing well at UTSC, which is why you want to consider transferring RU.

ryerson is bad, it might look good on the outside with the new building, the location, the girls, but from an inside view it looks absolutely terrible

hmm, i think i can help since i was in your position. I actually transferred from UofT:Engineering to Business management at ryerson..lol i know drastic change right...but its probably the best move ive ever done. I actually love it here, love the program, very good professors and helpful TAs...the Ted Rogers building is really nice to have classes in...and top it of with yes there are very attractive girls :cheesygri..which was non existent at St.George..but seriously dont let people fool you..the business program in ryerson is growing..and that is only program which is worthwhile imo at Ryerson...
