Gila or 3M Window Film

Anyone familiar with the 3M or Gila window film products that reduce solar heat entering windows. Our existing windows are EnergyStar triple pane with argon and low e glass. Is there any benefit to adding the film.

It gets pretty hot during the summers in Toronto and winters while not severe have been cold and snowy.
