This bundle is brand new, same price as the "normal" elite and includes a AAA title (re5). so seeing it below $399 is pretty good. This is a good price for a good unit, although I'd probably prefer the GTA bundle.

my xbox (one of the older revisions) was modded and had played online for a few months before got banned from XBL. This was almost 2 yrs ago though. I haven't gotten a new box since.

I think you two are talking about 2 different things. One is to be banned for XBL, but you can still play game backups; the other is talking about how to make the latest backup playable.

Thanks op, I have been looking at this one for weeks. I can sell RE5 (have PS3 version already) and hopefully get at least $40 for it, bringing the price down even more.

I don't think it's ugly. I don't like the looks of the black one, and between this and beige I don't really have a preference.

The good thing about the red one is that its easier to ignore the blinking red lights youll get on the front of the system in about a year. :)

Indeed, that's why I want this Jasper one as well. My original Xbox was fixed by MS twice already and I'm sure it will fail again, plus 20G is not enough now that you can play games straight from HDD.

I actually like this colour, I got the red remote for my 360, but still I would never pay so much for an Xbox, I rarely touch mine and I have lots of games (backups of course for it), I still prefer the PS3 more especially considering this price...

i traded both the resident evil in. 1 for 40 dollars credit at eb (last week), 1 for a wireless white controller on the craigslist.

Edit: hmmm actually, i should be able to. I purchased one at march 31st at Toysrus, and they have a 45 day return policy.
I'm wondering if i would be able to pricematch with a printout and a phone number.
Do i need to bring the whole thing back? or just the receipt? any experience with this by anyone?

Actually I think it would, the receipt wouldnt say SPECIAL COUPON $30 OFF or something, it would just list the price at that. The only thing is does the Pepsi thing says you have to buy it at 399.99?

Wow, really nice deal, especially considering the extra 25$ off through pepsi making it about 345$ for xbox 360 with 120gig HD and RE5. I'm not a big survival horror game fan, but really enjoyed RE5. Played the whole game coop with a friend through live, which makes the game much more fun IMO. I'd definitely jump on this one if I didn't already have a x360.

IIRC Microsoft offers a cable to do help do that, if it doesn't come with the elite I believe you have to call them for it.

You can always return the game as well for store credit, which would bring the price down to about $320 after taxes. I even had an associate in FS suggest this to me the other day, lol

Yes, MS offers a free cable to transfer data from old to new hard drive. You need to fax or mail the pdf form. I think there are other ways such as using a memory card - should work for savegames at least, or you could hook up drives to your PC and use special program to copy content over. I do not want to open my new drive though, I tried upgrading my old one without success, not to mention $50 wasted on the supposedly compatible 120G drive...

I will try to get the Pepsi rebate too, since the receipt does not mention any discount, it simply states the Xbox is $369.99.

I heard horror stories about the data migration kit not completing the transfer and then wiping your old HD. So I took my old 20GB drive apart and backed it up to my PC just in case.
