Yield by Percentage of Weight: 100% whole watermelon = 70% edible watermelon + 30% rind. For example, the average 20-pound watermelon yields 14 pounds of edible fruit, leaving 6 pounds of rind. still that's a lot of ****ing watermelon

and dont forget that when watermelon is consumed, citrulline is converted to arginine through certain enzymes. Arginine is an amino acid that works wonders on the heart and circulation system and maintains a good immune system,

"The citrulline-arginine relationship helps heart health, the immune system and may prove to be very helpful for those who suffer from obesity and type 2 diabetes," "Arginine boosts nitric oxide, which relaxes blood vessels, the same basic effect that Viagra has, :-0

Yep. Remember reading that. Watch out boys...
"Does watermelon have effects similar to Viagra?
In July 2008 the media made a big story of watermelon having Viagra-like effects since watermelon contains a substance called citrulline which converts into the amino acid arginine. Arginine helps dilate blood vessels. Arginine boosts nitric oxide, which relaxes blood vessels, the same basic effect that Viagra has, to treat erectile dysfunction and maybe even prevent it. More citrulline - about 60 percent - is found in watermelon rind than in the flesh. "

Funny how one little typing error can mean a totally different thing! :)

I guess I will have to pass as I don't like sea food. Reminds me of "Jackarse" (spelling modified to get by forum filters) when they made the beard, from pubic hair, for the one guy on the crew, for the skit and discovered one of the hair contributors had crabs (which is really gross as the guy that had them glued on his face was getting some hair in his mouth .. of course, he had no idea it was pubes!

I think the Watermelons on sale are the ones that come from Mexico.
Supply/Demand. That's why they're on Sale. Nothing wrong with that.
But just saying, for people who care.
