Churrasco of St. Clair, located at Christie & St. Clair W they've been around for awhile now. However we just recently rediscovered them again when we wanted to dine on Rotisserie chicken but were tired of eating Swiss Chalet.

Their 1/2 chicken combo which comes with roasted potatoes and rice is the best deal in town at $7.69. The portions are big, the chicken is always fresh at dinner time due to the high volume, you will most likely have to wait in line to order. The paprika sauce is much better than Swiss or other Rotisserie chicken places, very unique tasting. Few places back up what their adversting says but when they say 'best chicken in the city'. I would have to agree whether you are eating in or taking out.

I 100% recommend Churrasco if you are in the neighbourhood.

I'll go with Bom Apetite on the Queensway... good piri piri sauce too

$10 for a whole chicken, rotiserrie or grilled, taxes included

Costa Verde on Eglinton East of Keele and a second location on Oakwood just north of Rogers.

Swiss Chalet doesn't even come close when it come to taste, quality and price.
Get the grilled chicken.

I like your screen name, I feel you there. Got to get Miller and his NDP'ers out next election, more taxes, anti-car, anti-biz, hypocritical policies. But I digress.

This topic is about chicken, not personal politics!!

I like Bon Apetite Churrasqueira on the Queensway.

Churrasco Villa at Mt. Pleasant/Eglinton. A little pricier than some, but the chicken is fantastic.

Some supermarkets serve good chicken, Loblaws at St Clair and Bathurst used to be good at it, my only problem is they often package it up in plastic containers so it gets soggy under the heatlamps, another problem was the seasoning would vary place to place. Too salty, not salty enough. Richtree I find really salty and expensive. The Portuguese Chicken places are the best from my experience.

I concur with their 1st choice, I think you started the Scores thread. Thanks to you I tried it and liked it. Maybe I can return the favour, Churrasco is really that good.

I used to be into Bom Apetite, but lately I find myself going to the east a little to the other chicken place ... I think it's called "The Best Portuguese Chicken". It is one block east of Islington on the north side

Excellent hot sauce and the chicken is always good ...

I'm glad we have a few choices in the area ...

I pass by that place all the time, it got average-at-best comments from people on another forum so I didn't actually try it (it's also more expensive than Bom I think). I will try it out, I wonder what the whole chickens cost

cheers
