So I'm going to a "FU SWINE FLU" bbq this weekend and we all need to bring pork dishes or pork related...dishes....

I was going to slow cook pork but I figured it just wasn't practical for a bbq...but I want to be a bit more flashy than just plain old hotdogs or whatever....

Give me some inspiration here people.

edit: is there anyway I could actually get H1N1 infected pork....?

Peameal bacon? Back Bacon? Canadian Bacon? Regular Bacon? Bacon Cheeseburgers? Steak wrapped in bacon? _______ wrapped in bacon? Bacon fondue?

Porkchops also? Maybe use ground pork to make REAL hamburgers? Or BBQ some ham steak?

By the way, I like this idea. I might have to do one too. Unfortunately, my Jewish friends aren't gunna like me very much.

Braise a pork belly.

yes, and then finish on the grill to crisp up that skin...

mmmmmmmmm...

No you can't get the flu from eating a sick pig: HOWEVER, they do not recommend eating any pigs that are infected. More of a quality issue I suppose rather than the risk of getting it from ingestion

Bacon wrapped pinapple is pretty good (I really like sweet + savory dishes)

And bacon wrapped vegetables (esp. zucchinni)

mmm...
