Looking of an electric sewing machine in less than 100 CAD total cost.
I want to have an electric sewing machine so that I can do some minor repairs on clothes and do some basic stitching. I do not need that machine for design stitching, embroidery etc.
Any suggestions on where can I buy one according to my preferences and that which is within my budget?

I got a simple 40 stitch Singer at Wal-mart a few years ago for $90 or 100.
I've done all the curtains in the house, as well as many many hem/patching jobs on the kids clothes.
Works wonderfully for the cost.
Haven't seen the same model lately, but I'm sure there's one that's just the 'next generation' as mine is a few years old.
At the time that I got mine, Zellers also had the same model - either store would be a good starting point.

It would be best I could find one in around 80 CAD.

I see them at the GoodWill and Salvation Army frequently, for around $25. Older sewing machines (the ones without the electronic patterns and stitching) rarely break, so I wouldn't worry about getting a dud.
