I do all my cooking in the weekend to last me throughout the work week.

mac and cheese

steamed jasmine rice

I only like leftovers the next day, not longer than that.
I make more elaborate dishes on the weekends and save the quicker ones for work days.

The mac and cheese sucked, I made it with whole grain pasta and didn't add enough cheese and I ran out of milk. The chicken adobo turned out the best, I added honey... it's a secret ingredient and I tried it the first time, you can taste the contrast between the vinegar and honey... it was amazing. I still got some meatloaf left over and it turned out well.
Yes that was a pic of Marilyn Manson, he still rocks ... check out his new vid with Evan Rachel Wood " heart shaped glasses" ... he is more glam than goth now.

do u work really long hours that u have to make it all on the weekend?
my parents always made dinner regularly on nights tuesday - friday... then bigger meals for saturday and sunday (we use to only have 2 meals per weekend days.. usually ate our dinner at like 4-5 on a weekend after having bfast at like 10-11)... and sunday left overs were for monday...
arent there a lot of meals u can make in < 30 min for ur weeknight meals? some of the ones u listed seem that they would only take around this long...
only the meatloaf seems like it would take over this time...

30 min isn't really that much time at all. And even working normal hours, getting home at like 6, the last thing I feel like doing is cooking on most days. I don't prepare dinner ahead on the weekend but I think its a good idea. Too bad I don't even have time on the weekends to put a big chunk of time into cooking!

I usually end up cooking a lot of food and freezing it for the work week. Some dishes turn out pretty well (like steamed chicken and various sauce-based dishes) while others don't (like black olives and seafood alfredo with spaghetini)
School ended at around 6:30 and I'd get home at 7:30 - 7:45pm and starts again at 7:00 am. That doesn't leave a lot of time to make a meal and do homework. Planning the actual dinner is also an annoyance, so premade meals are the best for the work week.

I just had some meatloaf, which I made on Saturday... it tastes really good with the rice I made. If you're one person, it's worth it to make extra food and eat left overs for lunch... beats wasting money on take-out.

So, I did my usual weekend cooking today. I made meatballs with tomato sauce and my old standby chicken adobo.
The meatballs turned out pretty good, for a first timer... nice and round firm balls... can't wait to taste em.

So, the balls turned out well, nice and firm.. but I found it a bit too much meat for my liking and will stick with my meat sauce instead.
Today I made a curry beef stew and would like to put in on a bed of egg noodle, but I'm too lazy to go out and buy the noodle.
