Electric smoker on apartment balcony

Just wondering what the laws on this in ontario are? Does each apartment ahve their own rules or is there a general law that looks into this?

Don't think you want to be using any sort of smoker on a balcony...your neighbours will freak. Plus if there's too much smoke they might think there's a fire.

well I am on the top floor so not to worried about neighbors getting the smoke, its more the freaking out and calling 911 that I am worried about.
