Hello

Not sure if anyone knows the answer to this, but where can I find the law regarding room & board, like what rights the boarder has, and what rights the owner of the house has.
Ive heard from some that boarders are not part of the landlord/tennant act, but instead follow the innkeepers act.

I've got a boarder who hasnt paid rent and want to know what my rights are.

Thanks

go down to any legal aid office (most universities with law schools have them) and pick up a booklet on the matter. The little purple one I picked up @ the uwindsor legal aid clinic was quiet informative. Basically the tenancy act is biased against the land lord in residential matters.

Sometimes questionable (extra-legal) techniques are required to resolve such problems...good luck!
