Hi there, my old washer finally gave out and I'm wondering if anyone can suggest good stores in calgary that sell washers.

I am probably going to get a top loading washer, and I will need the people delivering the new one to move out and dispose of the old broken one.

Are there any places like that in Calgary?

Thanks!

Have you tried Trail or Coast appliances? Those would be the two I would suggest. You could also try the Brick/Leons as well. All should be able to remove your old one for a cheap rate as well.

We wanted to do the same thing with a dishwasher a couple years ago. Most places (like Trail, Coast Wholesale, the Brick) will charge between $25-$50 to remove the old item, and some do it for free. Just ask when you're shopping and when you buy it, make sure there is something on your invoice about them removing your old washer. Since washers can be heavy and awkward, the cost might be a bit more but it never hurts to ask...and it's almost always worth it if you don't have to move it yourself! Most places also want you to have it disconnected and ready to go when they get there.

If you're not super picky, I would check out all the scratch and dent sections at Trail, Coast Wholesale (usually slim pickings at Coast), the Brick, and depending on where you are in Calgary there is a Sears Warehouse at 2206 – 20th Ave. N.E. They took all of the discount stuff that used to be upstairs in the Sears Outlet at Deerfoot Mall because that Sears is no longer an "outlet". I noticed a bunch of stuff there the other day when I was getting fridge filters.

Good luck!
