Which one of the two faucets below would you choose? It’s for a modern looking kitchen with shaker style cabinets.
Faucet #1

Faucet #2

*Edit* Both are from Delta and under $100, so the pricing isn't an issue.
Adding this as number #3, not a brand name faucet but still under $100

I like 1 but it seems 2 has a pull out handle that will come in handy in a kitchen.

I've already eliminated any faucet that require a deck mount thingie on the bottom, especially since I will be getting granite countertops.
It increases the costs overall but I think it's worth it so #1 for sure.
For me, a pullout is not a requirement, nice if I can but not a requirement. Not sure how much use it is for, I mean I am getting something similar to #1 which should be high enough to clean pots and pans, and if I need to clean the sink, I just use a sponge...

besides quality with #3, I think #3 is best for looks for the handle, but the head of the faucet like #1 more

The deck mount plate usually comes included with all faucets to cover the 3 holes that many laminate counters might leave behind (especially if you are retrofitting). If you are getting granite, you will only request 1 hole & perhaps 1 more for the dish soap, which I highly recommend!
I also love my pull out spray & can't live without it :D
This is the faucet that we have :) It's more traditional but goes perfect with our kitchen design.

OP, you should update your poll since faucet #3 is not part of the poll ;)

want to save a fortune??? order it from ebay from this seller,,, we bought 8 different faucets for the entire house from them on ebay. This is actually price pfister selling them from the warehouse in california. You will save 70%+ versus store price.
Buying 3 for my parents in next week or two, once they pick what they want.

I have purchased several faucets from them over the last couple of years and can vouch for the quality of their products. However, I have noticed that their shipping charge is now quite outrageous... USD $60+ to ship a faucet is insane. They used to charge $30+....

Thats insane,,, thats why I have a U.S mailbox and ship cost is $9 for first and $6 for each additional!;) One of the many reasons I ship all my purchases to the U.S mailbox and dont face crazy shipping, brokerage, or duty.

Neither, I prefer a separate tap for hot and cold.

1 or 3.
I went with 2 and regret it. The arm extends too far out from the sink and when washing dishes it splashes everywhere.

Thanks guys since the purpose of the faucet is purely looks I think I’m going to go with #1. I’ve had the faucet similar to number #2 but without the bottom plate in our previous condo and it was nice but nothing worth pointing out. Option #3 does have the best of both worlds but it looks a bit more “commercial” than modern/sleek. Also considering this is a Delta faucet while the other one is a no-name kinda makes more sense to go with #1. Thanks for your input, can’t wait till I get it installed once the granite is done.

Question, how high does the Delta one sit above the counter? Does it sit very high? Would spash issues be a consideration if it's too high?

I like #1 except I really want a pull out faucet so i'd go with #3.... how are u getting these for under $100?

Voted for #1 but I like #3 the most out of the choices. I don't like the button in the front though. This is the one I chose for my kitchen that is similar in looks to #3...

I don't see too much splashing from a high arcing spout compared to traditional ones. The aerators on faucets these days do a really good job softening the flow of water.

I guess if we are not comparing apples to apples it's really not considered a good deal. That seller only sells "Pfister" brands as to the faucet I'm looking at is a Delta.
Besides their shipping chargers are VERY high.
Looking at this cheap $13 faucet (http://cgi.ebay.com/Price-Pfister-Chrome-Single-Control-Kitchen-Faucet_W0QQitemZ360150042435QQihZ023QQcategoryZ295 08QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l12 62), shipping is $65. While with the seller I went with their charge was somewhere around $40 and included UPS fees.

You're right, it's not apples to apples. Price Pfister are far superior faucets though in comparison to Delta which I personally wouldn't touch. Go see the actual differences in a big box store like HD...

Price pfister are far superior. The 8 I purchased from this ebay site are 5yrs old now and only one cartridge leak,,,, and replaced free by pfister.
Dont forget,, if you ship to CAnada there is good chance you get dinged with brokerage fees.
Pay $5 or whatever the fee is at my mailbox location and pick it up and bring it home and this way you only pay the $8 shipping.

is Moen > Pfister?
CSK'sMom
Apr 30th, 2009, 03:33 PM
Uhhh no. Moen is the equivalent of builder's grade which is pretty low IMO. We ripped several sets of Moen faucets out of this house that were less than a yr old and the chrome was peeling off like cheap paint.:rolleyes:

is Moen > Pfister?
Moen stuff may look good, but I heard they're mediocre.
Grohe is good too; if you goto a Kitchen and Bath speciality store, they carry several higher-quality brands than what you see at Home Depot.

I definitely wouldn't get a kitchen faucet without a pullout. It is VERY handy. We've had Pfister and have been very happy with it.
