Sometimes when I find myself alone with no dinner plans I pick up some fried chicken (popeyes) and plant myself in front of the TV and search for comedy. That is ultimate for me.
What is your ultimate comfort food?

I got a sweet tooth.
My power breakfast is also my comfort food.
berry mix
bananas
hemp granola
flax powder
wheat germ
walnut pieces
fat free yogurt
almond butter
i throw in a few extras here and there, but this is the basic.
I dont really have a comfort food otherwise.

Goat curry if I feel like cooking, salmon rolls from this takeout place near my house if I don't. It used to be McChickens back in the day, but I can't stand to eat those anymore.

A nice steak with roasted garlic with herbed mashed potatoes, lightly cooked asparagus/brocolli
But something more accessible that I usually get is a pad thai with shrimp/chicken and a mango salad

Ringolos. This was my "brain" food when I studied for exams in university. Unfortunately, most stores only carry Frito-Lays, thus no Humpty-Dumpty.

The meat you get from chinese soup that has been stewed for a long time.
It may have no taste unless dipped in soy sauce but I love that texture and gives me good memories of my childhood.

With the sour cream, you gotta add salt, pepper, chives and some siracha :cheesygri Makes the sour cream so much more flavourful, and makes the perogies taste so much better :cheesygri:cheesygri
And if you are looking to cut some fat, you can replace sour cream with fat free balkan yogurt too!

Another tip for the pierogies, or at least what I live to do. Instead of pure sour cream, I'll prep a dill dip mix and use that. The dip mix uses sour cream anyhow :D.
As for my comfort food, there's nothing more awesome to me then a nice heaping plate of spaghetti with meat sauce, topped with lots of grated Parmigiano-Reggiano.

My comfort food is something healthy and hearty, like a nice slice of roast beef, mashed potatoes with gravy and some green beans.
I don't find snack food or junk food or fast food to be comforting.

Dim sum spare ribs with the black bean sauce is another very comforting food, sometimes I'll go yum cha and just order a couple of those ... so nice to eat that, relax with friends and drink some jasmine tea
Also, thai green chicken curry (with bamboo and snow peas) with coconut rice
