I thought so, but once I put a wood cutting board in the blue box
the city came, they took all the recycle stuff and left the cutting board in there.
So I guess is not for recycle

looks like it's a garbage item,
Put scrap lumber or wood waste out on your regular garbage collection day.
* Bundles no longer than 1.2 metres (4 ft.) with nails removed, weighing not more than 20 kg (approximately 44 lbs.) each. Have more than 20 kg? (PDF)
* 1 bundle = 1 item

Call your local fire dept... They might take them to add to their live fire training material. ;)

If it's pressure-treated wood, don't burn it. If it's not pressure-treated, then just leave it out with a sign and someone might take it for their bbq.
Otherwise, you can take it to the dump yourself.
