I remember having bought stocked up on some NOMA CFL bulbs for cheap. CT currently has a sale on GE bulbs but I remember buying them for less than $3.50 a piece. Is $3.50 a reasonable price for this kind of bulb. I rent and don't pay for hydro but I guess it's a step in the right direction to be using these low power consumption bulbs.

Thansk.

Thanks Messerchmidt. So long as they're less than $3 a piece, I would consider them cheap.

i often pay less than 2$/bulb at costco. a few times a year there is an instant rebate from the manufaturer and another MIR from hyrdo quebec. that's when i stock up!

Thanks. Good for you. I hope they provide the rebate in Ontario more often too.

lowes in brampton had 6 100w equiv @ 23w for 14$ when i was there. if you used the 4$ off cupon you got them for 10$

even at 4$ a bulb, its still cheap! if you buy singles or sets of two, then you get ripped off, but 4 or 6+ packs is cheap

Was it only recently you bought these CFL bulbs at Lowe's messerchmidt?

I went to lowes looking for a few other things in brampton and picked up these bulbs. make sure you get the cool white vs warm white, they give off more light

What sucks is these things are all made in goddamn China now, so don't be surprised if one goes on fire on you. I'm not joking, one of mine, the ballast started smoking out of nowhere and it was a good thing I was there when it happened otherwise it could have been a fire.

I have the GE ones, exact same ones in the CT link above.

you migth be happy with paying $15 for a single bulb but lots of people would prefer to pay under $5 per bulb
