Hello.

I'll give you guys the scenario and tell me what you think.

I have contacted this seller for his items and we were PM'ing each other back and forth (both users online) and ended up talking on instant messenger.
Seller originally wanted to sell his computer as whole but ended up parting it out and lower the price to a price where it is actually lower than a brand new parts.
So we talked on IM and came to a neutral sale price for items that I wanted.
Seller was asking me if I could pick up the item very next day if not seller would drop it off but I told the seller that it wasn't good for me and later seller agreed that I can pick up the item in 2 days. So we set the time and date, so deal is done, right? No...

I get a PM from the seller later next day saying that he had sold the items to some other buyer (i think made a higher offer) without even notifying me anything!
I am pretty sure we did make a final deal for me to buy the items from him as I have said above, right?
I have told the seller that this is not a auction site where you sell it to a higher bidder, especially after he himself making a final decision to sell it to me. And told him that this is all part of dealing process and I should have the right to leave a feedback if deal at this level of process fails. Yet sellers tells me that I should not be abusing the feedback system because we have not physically made the deal and I have not lost any money???

Does this make sense to you readers?

I should not leave a feedback because nothing physically happened?

What if you were to visit a store to buy a item... let's say a big flat panel TV for very good price you have dealt with the sales person and setup a time tot pick up the TV. Yet when that day came for you to pick up the TV, sale person decided to sell it to someone who visited after you with more money?
Shouldn't you have all the right to complain? If such a system is provided to you(us) like feedback system? I personally think so.

By the way, yes I have read the BST Feedback system.
"What is the BST Feedback system?

The BST Feedback system is a way for regular traders on RedFlagDeals.com to build a reputation here so that other users can identify good traders and bad traders can be avoided. The feedback system is only meant to rate completed transactions."

It does say that feedback system is only meant to rate a COMPLETED transactions.

So does this mean that anyone can start making deals and dishonour/cancel the deal last minute without tell the buyer/seller? Without even getting any sort of negetive feedback on that peron's account? I think that is wrong and not a fail system.

Bailing out on deals is typical. Can't go around policing when a bailout is justified for negative, and when it isn't. Then you also open up a whole can of worms for negative feedbacks from people who you never heard of.

COMPLETED transactions are clear and concise. If you receive some random negative feedback from a douche bag, then if they can't provide proof that the transaction occurred, then it should be removed from the record.

I'm sorry you didn't get the item's that you wanted for the price you wanted, but this section is primarily for people who want to get rid of their goods at teh best price suited to them. If somebody offered him more money he has every right to sell to that person, his only wrong doing was not letting you have the chance to meet that offer.

You are dealing with people and no agreement is final until money is exchanged. You didn't exchange money or lose an item therefore you shouldn't be allowed to leave feedback.

my 2 cents anyway.

Feedback is usually appropriate for 'Completed Transactions', for example money was exchanged or item failed and seller refuses to refund.

I have in the past asked MODS to allow me to post negative/neutral feedback when scammer(s) ran off with my deposit. My feedback warns RFDers to avoid bad sellers...

But in all cases, BST Feedback is appropriate for finalized deals where money was exchanged or deposit was provided.
