Does anybody know if I currently have a raid 0 setup and be able to add another hd to swtich to a raid 10 on the fly ? Or do I have to start from scratch

I thought RAID 10 was a mirror and a strip set. You need 4 drives to accomplish this. Correct me if I am wrong.
If you just want a hot spare, that is something else totally.

As the previous poster said, you need 4 drives for RAID 10.
AFAIK, you can't migrate from RAID 0 to RAID 10 with the Intel Matrix controller. The only RAID 10 migration option supported is from a single drive.
If you have a 2 drive RAID 0, you can migrate to either a 3 or 4 drive RAID 5. If you have a 3 drive RAID 0, you can only migrate to a 4 drive RAID 5.

maybe I was confusing with something else..
I was thinking 2x250 for the raid0 and then add another 500GB for those data to be mirror on it
does something like that exist ?
