I just realized my car is making this little rattling sound when I'm
driving. At first I thought it was just something moving around in the trunk (it
sounds exactly like that), but I checked and it isn't. I also verified that
the spare tire wasn't moving around. My brother and I eventually realized
the sound is coming from the right rear tire. When I'm driving, if I start
swerving around left and right, the sound comes out pretty loud.

I think its a rubber bushing on the torsion bar or the strut.

Is this expensive to fix? I assume the bushing itself is probably pretty cheap, but the work involved could take time. Any input is appreciated, thanks!

I don't think you'll get much of a response in here except for speculation. Best bet is take it to a mechanic and have them take your car for a test drive and they can give you the most accurate diagnosis. It could be what you said or worse.

What kind of car is it and do you have a place you can take it to have it looked at or worked on?

Or perhaps a broken exhaust hanger.

Or perhaps a broken exhaust hanger.

Good call, i'll check it tonight. I did hear some metal clunking sound last night. Is it easy to fix?

It could be a loose heat shield on the catalytic converter.

This happened on my Mustang years ago. I was charged around $30 for them to clamp it in place.
