Just wondering if anyone has experience with Active Green + Ross oil change? They have a discount at $19.99+$2.5 disposal fee. Full Synthetic is at $59.99+disposal fee. Any specific feedback on the one in Markham (Hwy 7 & Markham Rd)? I read some negative feedbacks and some postive ones online, not sure if it's worth the saving as my dealership charges like $55 for the basic oil change.

I don't know about the Markham location but the one on 73 Bridgeland, near Yorkdale is good. Avoid the one on Yonge near Newtonbrook.
Watch out for the $4 top off option some offer. They charge a flat rate even if they don't top off any fluids for you.

I read some feedback online stating that Active Green+Ross sometimes lure you in for oil change, then tell you a lot of things are wrong, like alignments, suspensions, etc. Not sure if it's true.

I have had no problems there so far...then again, probably because two of them are on the boards I lurk on...

That location has really good service and people. I had my balljoints and control arms done, transmission oil, etc. Since I was a a student they gave me a good discounts considering all the work that had to be done and a Free rental for the day since it took about 6 hours. :cheesygri. Ill be going back there in a month or two to get my struts fixed.

Yes. The location above did this:

And it wasn't just with me. While I waited for my car, I overheard this guy make calls for cars whose oil changes were completed and he had the same line for everyone "the such-and-such part is defective, and it is a safety issue. It's strongly recommended that it be replaced." To him, everything was a safety issue, eventually including a few things with my vehicle, which made me decide not to return to that location.

I booked an oil change appointment this Sat and will let you guys know how it went. It seems a great deal and their service on my winter wheel balancing was great.

So....how did the service go?
Do they do regular maintenance i.e. brakes as well?

Amazing service there. I'll bring back my car there next time. $25 out the door in about 30-40 mins with an appointment on Sat.

Their service is above average. (I can't comment on the knowledge/technical skills for each mechanic, as that will always very)
Just beware that they do recommend alot of preventative maintainance things. You by no means have to do any of it. (some advisors may try to pressure or scare you for example saying it's a saftey issue). Alot of times they are legit recommendations if you want your car in tip top shape. But it scares me how poorly maintained people keep their cars and in how bad shape they are.
Just tell them you'll bring it back another day or get a second opinion.

Do we need a coupon to get a $20 oil change? I can't find any valid coupons online.
Thanks!
