I haven't gamed in a long time, but I just beat RE5 with a friend these last few days, and really enjoyed gaming again. Are there any other games like RE5 where its a lot of fun to play with a friend?

Left 4 dead has splitscreen and you kill zombies again
I'd rent it though
It's fun for a week which should let you finish it in that time but it gets old pretty fast

Army of Two was design as a co-op game. Gears was lots of fun, and so was Crackdown

This is a great co-op game but like the poster said, you could probably finish it in a weekend. I bought it back in December and my friend and I finished it over 2-3 days and we haven't played it since. I've tried to play it solo but not as fun because the computer that is on your team is not very helpful. Actually the other night I was signed into Steam and I saw my friend was online playing CS so I msg'ed him and we played L4D for an hour  It was a blast and I would probably play the game more but I just had a baby so I don't spend all my free time in front of the computer when I get home. ;)

Definitely two-player coop is fun. But I'd like to see more games also incorporate four-player coop (especially over multiple consoles).
Currently the one games I know of (on XBox360) that support any kind of 4-player coop mode are:
1) Halo 3
2) Call of Duty 5: World at War (zombie mode)
3) Left 4 Dead
4) Gears of War 2 (horde mode)
Also sports games....

Online co-op is nice but I like to have everyone in the same room. Is the split-screen format used in CoD5 and RE5 the next big thing? I understand the need to retain the aspect ratio, but there's a lot of wasted space.

I had to sit extra close to the TV when playing RE5, 26" tv with 2 people, lol

Sweet! Eterna Sonata is co-op? I had no idea... game is still shrinkwrapped. Wonder if the GF want to play since it's got such a 'girly' theme and cover ;)

It's just co-op in battles. One person runs around in the overworld.

LoL, that's the problem she sucks at pretty much every game we've tried. We've ended a total of ONE game together. That was Baldurs Gate DA:2... all she really did was hide behind me and pick up loot :) Tried to play multi Titans Quest with her but she was too confused with so many buttons, lol.

There's a coop mode in Viva Pinata 2? How does it work?

Curious, what's is a best online game? Is it still COD: WAW? I am thinking of buying the game to test out for Live. Probably just going to own one original copy.:twisted::twisted:

Don't forget Lego Star Wars, Lego Indiana Jones, and Lego Batman (in that order, imho). They're refreshingly funny, witty, and a total blast to play through with a friend or your kids.
