probably the mini cooper JCW edition because having a small car for inner city driving is great.
A fully loaded one will cost over 50K with taxes... which I think is waaaay overpriced, but hey, money ain't an issue :D

He's talking about the first rule of RFD MVA, ha. I'm sure some people here can easily afford more costly cars but still "stick with a Civic, Corolla" because that's the RFD way

As for the thread title, if money were not an issue I would not be buying just one car, believe me ;)

As for the $50k cap (strange after saying money is not an issue  ) $50k barely buys you anything in Canada but I would probably say Audi TT? :)

Not necessarily. Look at the C63 AMG and the IS-F. Both Have an MSRP under that of any E9x M3. A Fully loaded IS-F still comes under the base price of the E90 M3, according to Lexus' online config. And a fully loaded C63 is only a couple of grand more than the base E92 M3. Not to mention that both cars possess more torque and HP than the bimmer's engine. This is all before dealer markup though which all three cars get.

Back on topic, if money wasn't and option, I would get a:

Maserati Granturismo-S

And if Canada just changed its crappy import restrictions:

2002 Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II Nur (R34)
2002 Nissan Silvia Spec-R (S15)

The c63 is a nice car, more power, a better interior, and better straight line performance than the m3, but not as refined as the m3. The IS-F is an awesome first generation car from lexus to compete, but doesn't compete with the c63 or m3 imo.

Totally forgot about the new CTS-V...m3 price for m5 performance wow

Waiting for the specs/price for the new RS5...hopefully Audi puts more pressure on BMW and MB

What exactly does the IS-F compete with then, the Corolla? LOL. Of course it competes with these cars, it's a direct competitor! How it fares against them might be another story but in terms of sales, it's certainly a competitor.

Totally forgot about the new CTS-V...m3 price for m5 performance wow
Costs more than the M3 and the C63 AMG, but beats them both pretty good :)

Waiting for the specs/price for the new RS5...hopefully Audi puts more pressure on BMW and MB
LOL don't hold your breath. The B7 RS4 was $100k CDN MSRP, I would not expect the MLP RS4/RS5 to be any cheaper. A $20-$30k price increase is not exactly what I'd call "pressure" RS4 is an amazing car in it's own right (and I do love it) but it's not exactly going to pressure either the M3 or the C63...

the IS-F's performance is almost on par with that of the M3. Only advantage the M3 has is that it is indeed more refined but the M3 has had years of development while Lexus is on its first attempt. Those who want japanese reliability in the long run will opt for the Lexus, while M3 buyers don't have a problem with high maintenance costs after the warranty period is over.

Audi has always been the most expensive of the bunch. The RS5 is supposed to be getting an RS4 sourced V8 engine. With the S5 having a sticker price near 65k. the RS5 should be around the GT-R pricing. Audi isn't really about performance, to me they've been about their beautiful and unique design, as well has overall quality (interior especially), not to mention their famous Quattro system which is one of their big selling points.

Not out of the factory on those stock bias ply tires it didn't! Maybe with slicks, but certainly not in showroom trim. Very few cars of that era went faster than mid to low 14s in the quarter mile due to the terrible tires of the day.

1999 Ferrari F355 F1 Fiorano Spider (MUST be Red exterior, Black interior)
