Are there any theird party ones? Or is the official Nintendo cables the only way to go?

in my opinion..
it doesn't really matter.

i got a third party one and it's working fine and you won't even remember that it's third party coz you don't even see the cable behind the wii.

We got our component cable from DealExtreme.com and it works perfectly.

Monoprice works too, but you'll have to pay for shipping..

I would stop by The Real Canadian Superstore if you have one near you. You might find a set of component cables for dirt cheap in the clearance bin or marked down.

Dealextreme also works too but you will probably have to wait 3-4 weeks for it to get here.

i saw some at EBGames and HMV.

They were 3rd-party though (Nykos I believe) for around 10-15$.
Honestly though, I could not tell the difference between component and composite for the Wii.

monoprice: buy 2 or more for cheaper shipping and just sell one or give one to your friend.
