takes like 2 weeks? not too long, and i believe you get a temporary one right away... and you need to go to their centres, i know there's one at Yonge / Sheppard. Should be one in Hamilton too.

did you get a renewal notice?! it should say on there.

Or Google?

In the days past, we would have looked in the blue pages of the phone book for Ministry of Health, and located the addresses and phone numbers of their offices. But it has become to easy to ask someone else to do it for us intead.

Read the stuff that came with your notice and go to the place.

You can't. Once it expires you are no longer entitled to health care. You're probably better off moving to a country like sweden.

I cringe at the thought that my tax dollars will be spent on the OP.

once your health card expires your health itself also expires so say goodbye to your loved ones if you have any

+1

All that info is in the letter they send you to remind you to renew. There's also a friggin phone number on the letter for questions and appointments.

I think the internet spoiled a lot of people.

Here we have an amazing invention called the internet (NO, not invented by Al Gore) and we have access to almost ANY information you could ever want.
All you have to do is a search.

This is more funny after the other thread on stupid questions...

What amazes me is that people are willing to take the time to start a thread, type out the whole question, but not spend the time to type "ontario health card renewal" in Google........ less clicks, less typing, faster answers.....

The interwebs has spoiled many.....next they will ask what is the web number to the google address....

I never surrendered my super old health card. That one never expires.

it's sad how people type stupid questions that are dependent on other people's answers when they can simply search for it on yahoo, google

True, but eventually you'll get a notice in the mail requesting that you replace your old health card with a new one. Once you get that notice, you have a certain amount of time before the old one does in fact expire.
