Okay fine I'll deliver it to you for $400, give me your number.

Give me your number and address. I'm gonna send my sis and bro in law to see it first, if she likes it then I'll buy it within a week or two.

Ill give your number to her and shell call you and probably book a meeting over the weekend.

I live in Meadowvale Mississauga, but I need you to deliver it to a house I'm moving into, its about 3 mins from Square One.

And I'd appreciate it if you could tell me where you got these from, how much, and why your selling. Also if theres any damages or stains-no matter how small.

Also have you got any other furniture for sale?

Thanks.

check out my threads, I have taken pictures of the pieces up close it is as if your standing up infront of it, look at the pictures.

Yea, they look fine but, I just want to make sure a women has had a chance to look at it before you spend time and money and bring it to Mississauga.

Like I said earlier they're not photoshopd or anything I took the pictures as close up as I could. I've had many people come to see it and the end result was nothing. That's why I've priced it at the price it is and have taken the pictures of it up close. If you want it then there's no reason for you to change your mind there's nothing else to see that's not already shown in these pictures.

Pics look fine mate, just you can't make a purchase of $400 without knowing what your buying. If you don't want someone in your house inspecting the sofas, put them on your driveway or lawn when my sis comes by. Shell have a look and if she likes it then I'll buy it.

I don't want to be forced into buying something I didn't have properly inspected. You'd probably have them inspected if you were in my situation.

Unless of course if you bring the sofas to Mississauga, and I don't like them after inspection, your willing to take them back, thats fine with me .

ya i could do that for $60 consider it a service charge type of thing if you don't want it. they're in a buds house right now i lent it to them for a bit and it's a building so there's no driveway to put it in, and if there was there would be bugs crawling all over them - you know what I'm saying.

I'll send my brother in law to your buds house? He'll have a look at em
then.

Also how are you sending them for $60? If you rent a truck and drive here and back, it'd be atleast $95? ..

that's right i'm pitching in the extra $35 myself

Mate, I'm going to atleast need your phone number for this deal.

We can't talk about the sofas anymore on the internet..

I like it though isn't it fun, lol. That way there's a trace of everything said muhahahahahahaha. I've got to run, so I'll msg you later we can speak then.

I don't mean to sound mean, but you seem really fishy.

If you'd want to continue this deal then you have to accept the fact that I'll be inspecting the sofas before I buy them. If I was selling sofas, I'd allow potential customers that luxury, as any sane person would, and I'd expect that luxury when I buy sofas or any large furniture as well.

I'm going to need your phone number, theres nothing more we can speak about on the internet...

I'm not going to impose on my friends, it's their house I can't just tell them to let someone into their house if they don't want to. I just called them and they said they're not comfortable and I respect that. There's nothing fishy going on, if you go into Scammers and Warnings you'll know exactly why I deal this way and have never had one negative comment or problem with trading/selling with anyone on the forum. As stated earlier, for $60 payment I can send you one of my friends paypal email address and you can make the instant payment on that, once they receive it it'll have your address on there and I'll send you my number, you give me a call I'll drive that way, you take it you take it you don't then you don't and I'm out $35 - that's a chance I'm willing to take. If not I have 5 other people interested in it as the pictures show, and they will give me their address and I'll deliver it to them, same deal with them.

If not then have a nice day and thanks for your interest.

Thanks, but business isn't done like that.

Soo basically he won't allow me at a chance of inspection before purchasing, after I really insisted on a inspection, he wants me to pay him $60 via PayPal and he'll drive over to my place to show me what I want to buy.

This guy is sure suspicious, but to be honest I think hes just a foreign immigrant scared at the idea of a stranger coming inside their house.

But just in case, heads up..

(I really liked those sofas... :()

Wrong on the seller part for not letting a potential buyer physically seeing the item before purchase... Wrong for the buyer to low ball and giving some baloney so he gets what he wants. I don't know about this

It sounds like the seller of the furniture is not the owner, which is against forum rules. A $400 offer on a $450 posted price is not unreasonable -- especially for furniture.

For the OP, just walk away. If the seller doesn't want to let anyone see the furniture, then they'll never sell it. Plain and simple.

I wouldn't buy a sofa without being able to sit on it first.

I wouldn't trust someone saying I couldn't see furniture first.

It may not be a scam, but there sure are a lot of scams that demand payment upfront.

Just pass.

I expected this sort of childish behaviour on craigslist or kijiji, not on rfd. This so called buyer is the real fishy person - I know the type, they say they're interested, they'll have their "brother and siter" come look at it, then say that they're not interested, they wait until you leave home and then to your surprise you come home and you've been jackked. Gee I wonder who did that, hmm. let me think it couldn't have been that honest person who came to "see" that furniture, no not possible - lol ya right! This person obviously doesn't understand what I've written in my msges, to see how many people have been scammed in that regard, makes no difference to me, as I said I have others who are interested. She's just looking for attention, she's an attention fiend! Attention Attention read all about it, I'm the biggest scammer on this site, I've taken a page out of iempwnage's playbook. If you're looking my superior that would be iempwnage, give her a call. Also, next time if you're so scared call the cops, tell them someone is selling a used item online that's their personal stuff, not from a store or anything, and they expect to deliver it to my house and they expect me to give them something called, money!! OH THE DRAMA!! AH that's just highway robbery. Scratch my tushy while your at it too!

You sound a bit paranoid. Actually, I am wrong. You sound extremely paranoid. Do you ever leave your house? People could be watching it now, so don't leave. You might get "jackked" -- whatever that is!

Selling furniture is a lot different than selling a cell phone or hard drive. People want to see it and to say I'll bring it to your house for $60 if you guarantee you'll buy it is just idiotic.

I have sold many things from my home. I have yet to be "jackked". To me, it doesn't sound like you care if the furniture sells or not.

Is the furniture even in your house?

Just walk away from this. The mods will lock this thread soon. Also, name calling never helps a deal complete smoothly.
