Hi,

I got my roof spoiler yesterday and it came in abs plastic unpainted. I'm looking at a bunch of shops to get it painted. I got quoted $100 for just the roof spoiler @ simply tires down at finch and weston? (it's not even big....for the lexus isx50 series...jun-tw).

Are there any shops you guys would recommend? and what's the typical price for part painting? looking for a good price and good quality but i understand you get what you pay for...so i'm looking for that sweet spot :)

i'm around mccowan and steeles :)

thanks for your help!

$100 is probably the cheapest you'll find. How much were you expecting to pay? It has to be worth the shops time to do it you know.

i know but it won't hurt me to look for alternatives which i may not know about...just seeing if there is better pricing for quality that's all :)

have you check the shop near the traintracks by market village. 168 autos? someone recommended them in the forum before.

there are custom paint shops on markham road, not sure which ones are good though.

or go to paint circuit to buy the paint and clear coat to paint yourself, if that is an option for you.

Don't ever go to 168 auto because someone I know who had a bad experience there where they purposely made a hole on the power steering hose, and that's how they generate business!!:cheesygri. I just got my 2 driver side doors painted at this shop in Mcowan/Hwy7, its call Newnorth autobody services located at 185 bullock drive (tel) 905-471-4480. Couple of my friends have been there and their experience with them were positive!!

100$ is very cheap.

On average I get my lip spoilers painted for about 250$. I want a perfect job.

I have spent much less before and ended up having to strip, prep properly and paint again, ended up costing more than 250. I don't cheap out anymore.

thanks for your all your inputs!

As others have said, $100 is cheap. I have, in the past, gone to a body shop that deals with my brand of car a lot (AKA the dealers body shop) and left the part there. I asked them to paint it along with the next job of the colour I want. I have never had to wait too long (2 weeks at the most) and they have done it cheap. My last piece was a trunk mounted spoiler and they charges me $60 (it cost them nothing, they just used the other guys paint).
