Assassin's Creed 2 Info and Picture (yes a picture)
So here is some information for those who enjoyed Assassin's Creed, besides me, and looking forward to part 2.

Supposedly takes place 300 years after part 1 in Italy where everyone is about "doing it big" (for a lack of a better phrase). Unclear if it will be Desmond again or not. Some game changes information for you.

Collecting the hidden flags will actually get you in-game achievements and not just a sense of self satisfaction.
Pickpocketing is gone.
Eavesdropping is gone
16 "unique" missions
2, yes, 2 hidden blades. One on each hand.

I read you will be able to use Da Vinci's glider (think Hudson Hawk) but that is most likely ********. Also read swimming will be available to the character (God I hope so.)

Jade (creator of part 1 HURR DURR) said she has many ideas and wants to implement them in that she didn't get a chance to put in the first one.

Working online theory is this:

This will be Desmond again. He unlocked Eagle's Vision from the 1st one. This one will unlock more abilities for him to use leading to the third one where it will be Desmond in the future being an assassin.

I liked the first one, though it did get repetitive after a while because there were only a limited amount of animations. It'd be nice to see how those two hidden blades work though, I loved creeping up to the guards with it.

What I would want to see:
1.) some side quests or things to do while not being on missions - the world is nice and big in the first one but I barely explored it outside of the core gameplay. The Crusaders or whoever were nice to find but there was nothing else to do other than hunting for them and the flags.

2.) New animations, and LOTS of them :D - at least make better use of each weapon so I won't feel like the sword is the only choice.

I'm a sucker for punishment. I didn't really care for the first game but the new stuff sounds interesting.

I will buy. I enjoyed the first game. Flawed, yes. But what game out there isn't? The premise and setting is unique enough to warrant me following this series.

big fan, mainly because of the storyline and a bit with the gameplay (Albeit repetitive);

in case anyone is wondering what the new game is about:

no jade, no buy.

(she's not on this project)

She was only the producer. The guy behind the gameplay concepts and ideas was Patrice Desilets (creative director).

Definitely looking forward to this one. First one was a bit repetitive but had enough story to keep me intrigued long enough. When I thought I was getting bored with it, they'd throw a piece of story or twist just at the right moments to keep me from walking away from the game.

I can't wait for this one. I loved the first game, and this one is already looking miles better. I love the setting, have always loved the art style and I can never get enough stealth based gameplay.

I just finished the first game, well finished as in there are only flags left to collect and templars to kill.

While the gameplay did get a bit repetitive, I have to say I was very much drawn to the storyline and environment. Seems like the game has barely tapped into the enormous potential of this whole illuminati/templar/secret sect idea and I hope the second one won't disappoint.
However, the story line for assassin's creed 2 so far feels a bit all over the place already though. Oh well.
