i was going to put this in the "Please sticky: Quick answers to dumb questions"
but it needs its own thread

lets say you have a question : When does your daily mail arrive?
click the link for the answer
http://tinyurl.com/deanzb

if anyone asks such questions, go to http://lmgtfy.com/ , write the question and copy the link and paste in rfd

I gave this thread one star (terrible). While I agree that the "When does you daily mail arrive?" thread is terrible and pointless, the answers to that question cannot be found on Google.

I also really agree that people should look up stuff a lot more often than they do, especially for questions that can be quickly answered by searching, but you didn't need to make a new thread for this. You should have simply added to danfromwaterloo's very good thread.
