I am looking to buy a desk and it comes with the option to have the drawers installed on the left side or the right side, which side is better and why?
edit: I'm right handed.
edit: Having both sides with drawers would be nice, however I will have no leg room then.

All preference, neither is better.

Assuming you're not putting the monitor right in front of you and instead to the side (presumably on the side with the drawer). It's more ergonomic for righties to turn towards the right than left for keyboarding/mousing. (other way around and you're pointing your mouse towards keyboard/bumping into it)

Right, because that's how mine is setup.

Never know unless you've tried it the other way.

Never know unless you've tried it the other way.I've had both and prefer a right sided drawer. (Right-handed)

+1.. Even though best case senario would be to have the drawers on both sides, if it's a case of either A or B you definately have to go with 'what hand you are'.
Unless your ambidextrous. In that case my suggestion is moot.

Can people no longer arrange their room without help from RFD?

If you're right handed, the drawers should be on your left. That way you can open the drawer with your left hand and pull out the files with your right.

This needed a thread?
Do you want recommendations on which brand of toilet paper is softest so you don't chafe your anus with the abrasive stuff? Good lord man! You were born with a brain... use it or are you really that pathetic?
Go suck on a lemon.

which way are you leaning currently? Personally I hate draws on either side and my legs like to stretch out in any direction.

Is the desk against the wall? If the right side is against the wall you would want the drawers there since you don't want your legs to bang against the drawers when you swing over to get up.

personally, i prefer my drawers to be on the left side (i'm right handed). i actually made my dad take out the drawers that came with my desk because they were on the right side and kept bothering me. i found they kept getting in my way (i.e., if i wanted to push my office chair all the way in).

Assuming you are right handed:
If it's a pen/pencil drawer then right can work.
If it's deeper drawer that you'll dig in (eg files/notes or game controllers) go left.
