I always thought it was ridiculous when airline pilots would complain about, what I thought were, little harmless hand-held laser pointers.

Using laser pointers in class to distract the teacher is one thing, but when you're aiming these things at planes that is when you cross the line.

No doubt reckless but as always the issue is blown way out of proportion. Like the video said it didn't blind but distracted. Compare this to the issue of car headlamps that are so bright that do daze me temporarily, I feel to be a greater priority.

Again, stupid thing to do but I certainly hope that helicopter does more than hunt down kids playing with lasers.
