Invoice price for 2009 Nissan Sentra

Does anyone know what's the invoice price for a 2009 Nissan Sentra or a good dealer to recommend in the Mississauga/Oakville area?

They offer 0% financing for 60 months for this model and I really like the car.

I'm assuming that isn't a Spec-V? Not so much a sweet deal considering this car doesn't really live up to the performance it seems to imply and considering it's pretty darn ugly. Still, I guess I'd probably rather have the Sentra SE-R than the Corolla XRS; and the Spec-V over the Civic Si. The Spec-V ups the ante with better brakes, more power, a real transmission (the regular SE-R is sadly CVT-only), and LSD; but it still can't do much for the odd shape and ugly looks of the car it is underneath :(

SE-R is the one of two performance model Sentras. The SE-R being the lower 170hp variant suitable for competing with the likes of the Corolla XRS, Cobalt Sport, Mazda3 2.3L, etc.; while the 200hp SE-R SpecV is more of a competitor for the Civic Si, VW GTI.

Within Sentra trims though, I'd rather either SE-R over the SL.

It's definitely overlooked. With $25k OTD (without negotiation) you can get a Corolla Sport or a Civic Sport, and the Sentra SE-R outperforms both in terms of features and performence by a longggg shot. One thing that's worth noticing is the CVT version reaches its peak torque @ 2800rpm. Should be quite impressive off the line.
And i dont think it looks that bad if you get one in black and tint the windows...it's just another short chubby compact, that look can last u a while before it looks outdated.

I finally decided to test driving Sentra 2009 2.0S because I'm afraid tires on SE-R are much more expensive and it's hard to find spare ones.

the markup is about $1500 on the Sentra's .... I have a 08 Sentra SE-R, I got it for just over $26000 w/ taxes & .065% financing for 36 months, but you can do much better. Also, the dealer cost for the moonroof/audio upgrade is $1500 on the SE-R/Spec V models.

Do NOT go for that security add-on for $500 or whatever, even if they say you have to get it or all of the dealership cars come with it, its BS! Negotiate hard, its a bad economy, new car sales have plummeted and its not exactly a sales leader. Richmond Hill's Alta Nissan is apparently the best, stay the hell away from Agincourt & Morningside Nissan. I purchased mine at Village Nissan and I wouldn't recommend them.

My impressions, the build quality of the interior is pretty poor IMO, the material isn't the best either (hard plastic on the dash). I have the SE-R w/ CVT and its pretty darn good on gas for a big engine, I get about 9.5 - 10 L/100 km. Its not the best and I'm sure the 2.0 engine does much better. Highway driving is about 8.0 L/100 km if you keep the speeds at 110km/h. It terms of driving, with the big engine, it can get upto speed and fast no problem, I'm usually cruising at 130km/h on highways, whereas on my dad's Matrix, that'd really require me to push the car. But as it is a tall car, there is noticable body roll, but the SE-R's seats hold you relatively well. The car has a lot of nice features standard although I do hate the fact that I can't push down the rear seats from the trunk. The SE-R isn't a "sport" car by any means, but I can't drive stick and I don't want to pay premium gas for the Spec V, plus I found the SE-R to be fun to drive. I only compared my car to the Mazda3, which was $2000 more.

I would personally go for the SE-R, I didn't drive the 2.0 models, but I find them uglier and boring. Only the Spec V comes with summer performance tires, the SE-R has all weather, don't be afraid, test drive that thing!

Just helped my girlfriend get a deal of a lifetime. 2008 (floor Model with 18 km's) SE-R Spec-v w/sport package and extended warranty + 7 Oil Changes + Hood Deflector. $25k out the door. You can't even get a Civic EX-L with "similar" features for that. Heck, a Fit sport is about that much. Btw, I love the understated look of the New Spec-v, was not a huge fan of the old ricer look of prior gen.

Mileage so far on first tank: 350km and still over a quarter tank left. (City driving mainly)

I still don't trust the Nissan QR engine. Revised or otherwise. It took them so long to fess up to the engine issues, one wonders what else they were hiding.
