Hi Folks
I am thinking of making an offer on a 2006 XC-90 T5, 7 seater. We are in Eastern Canada.
I am looking for guidance on what a fair price to offer is.
The vehicle has:
- leather
- sunroof
- ~45,000 KM
- built in child seat
- back up assist
- driver seat is power but passenger side isn't
- AWD
- Certified pre-owned from a Volvo dealership
- warranty until about Nov. 2010
I have a good sense of what is being asked for similarly spec'd vehicles but I have no idea what they are actually selling for. The asking price is ~34K CDN. I used a website for calculating the canadian black book value which is the value of the vehicle on a trade in. That price is ~23-25K. So my question becomes what value should be placed on the vehicle for it being CPO and what is a fair %profit for the dealership to make on a vehicle of this sorts? To be clear, I don’t have a vehicle to trade-in but was using Canadian Black Book value as a basis to derive a fair selling price. Any guidance appreciated.
Thanks
