View Full Version : Toronto Lounges (Recommendations)

Hi guys, meeting up with a friend tonight, wondering if someone could recommend a nice quiet lounge? Anywhere in Toronto would be fine, as I have my car. Downtown would be better if possible tho not necessary.

I was thinking Panorama, as if you can get on the patio its quite 'intimate'. Not looking for a restaurant, or a bar. If there are any nice cozy coffee lounges, somewhere chill, good ambience, 'intimate' setting would be perfect.

Thanks!

College Street is usually a safe bet.. The only problem is that parking is EXTREMELY LIMITED

According to Najib Zanzibar for sure.

Apparently the eye candies there has less cellulite than Brass Rail.

try 'spice root' on king street just west of spadina.
it's not 'quiet' but it's a nice place to find a table and order some drinks (or dinner) at.

LOL@the replies.

Here's a serious one though. The Adelaide Street Pub. Google it, and see it fits your criteria. It's got really chill vibe, and they have a small menu if you guys want to have something to eat with your drinks.

Jamie Kennedy Wine Bar is quite nice.

Also you can try The Keg on York St. You might be surprised but they have a very comfortable and chill area in front of the bar. It has a fireplace and nice comfy leather chairs and a very intimate ambience.

The Keg gets packed after work though, so leave plenty of time to wait.

That's my favorite Keg, it's where I um...screen my potentials.

It's full of suits after 5pm on any given night.

yeah lots of assh0le responses for a serious question. Save the sarcastic remarks for the RFD love advice threads.

Try "c'est what", if your lucky you can get a seat by the fireplace. Plenty of parking in the neighborhood. Located at Church and Front.

Lots of great beers on tap and some decent food. Nice setting.

There is also the Pravda vodka bar on wellington just west of church, its a bizarre soviet style vodka bar. Not really authentic but a cool setting.

HY's steak house has a nice lounge.

panorama is overpriced and the view is going to suck in this weather anyways.
