Looking to get the new 2010 Volvo XC60 pretty soon, in a Standard Trim w/ metallic paint, integrated child booster cushions (or the Luxury Package).

I didn't see any listed on carcostcanada's website, wondering if it's just too early and how long does it take them to get prices out for a brand new car? I'll call APA today as well.

I'm thinking I may not get much of a deal since it's a new 2010 car and it's the first year released.

Thx.

I don't have the cost report but I doubt you'd get much of a deal. However, my friend just leased an XC90 (not as well made I know) but got a pretty good deal out of it, I think it was around $8000 off ($2000 loyalty, $4500 negotiation + incentives).

Were you able to test drive it in edm royaljelly?

I don't think there were any available till may so it might be a bit till they show up on apa/ccc.

I just test drove it in Toronto today, followed by the Audi Q5 right afterwards. Rather disappointed with the XC60. It feels heavy and sluggish, compared to the Q5. Audio system in the Volvo was also weak compared to Audi Q5 base model. The Front sensor on the XC60 was also rather flaky, such that even if there was a person standing at a corner of a curb as I was doing a right turn, it would go off and give me a warning beep. I'd probably end up turning off that option and only use it when I back up to something.

Now I'm leaning more towards the Q5, but apparently the salesman is saying that they only have 1 left in the Premium model that I want (Agincourt Audi), and that I can only custom order 2010 model which won't be out for another 6 months. :(

I hope gas mileage is not a problem for you. The Q5 only comes with the 3.2 engine that gets about 10l/100km on the highway! And it has a compression ratio of 12.5:1 meaning no choice but premium gas. I love the Q5, and have been driving a FX35 for the last 3 years til I turned it in last month (3 yr lease). It had the adaptive cruise which is great on the highway. The FX35 was killing me on gas though, I drive 40K a year. We have an A4 in the family, I drove it til 120K and then my wife drives is. Fantastic car. LOVE Audis. So I have been complaining to the dealerships about the lack of diesel engines in the Audis in North America, even wrote to Corporate. They responded within 24 hrs! Still no joy on any other engine in the Q5 for this year or probably next despit the fact that you can buy the same car in ANY European country with the choice of 3 engines, 2.0T, 3.2, or 2.0 TDI Diesel!

SO I am looking for something else and not finding anything that truely amazes me. I looked at the Volvo XC60 and liked the outside, the inside trim belongs in a KIA!

BTW if you liked the base stereo in the Q5, listen to the upgrade it will blow your mind!

Just my two cents

According to the Audi salesman, he said the Q5 only takes regular gas (same for the XC60). If that's true and doesn't affect performance, that would be great. Plus it's got better city milage ratings than the XC60 (?heavier vehicle).

I too have owned an Audi A3 for the last 3 yrs and love it. I've only used regular gas on it and hardly noticed any significant power loss (but I'm not a speed freak though). Not sure what it'll do to the engine over long term, but it's a lease anyways so no worries for me.

I've got an '08 A4, and shopping for a small SUV/crossover for the wife. I initially wanted a Q5 or EX, but found the Tiguan. Same 2.0T as the A4, nice ride and better interior than the Rogue or CRV. Little different price bracket than the Q5 but worth checking out if you're in love with the 2.0T engine.

The only problem is that my wife wants the CRV!

As an update, my broker got a quote for me from his Volvo contact (GTA). His prices for both my Passat CC and MDX were quite good (slight better than CCC or APA).
