Is there anyway I can find out trade in values without having to haul all my goods into an eb games store. I called them and asked over the phone but the lady said they don`t give trade in values over the phone.
I want to trade in my DS lite, and Gamecube
Is there a site or something, thanks guys.

I don't know what kind of crack the lady you were speaking was on, the ones that I've spoken with were all helpful and gave me the trade in values without hassles. Maybe she was just busy at the time I guess.
Check out www.tivs.ca to get roughly an idea of how much the used games worth.
I would say many of them are not correct and still require you ask the people at the store.
The New Super Mario Bros TIV was 15, and Pokemon Diamond was 12. Both are not matching the prices on that site, but it's close. So use it at your discretion.

She said to me, you have to bring it in so she can scan the barcode with the scanning gun. Can't she just type in the name on the computer??

you will get NOTHING for your consoles, you might as well go to the BST and sell them there, expect to get ~$50 for BOTH!

Do you mean $50 each? or both combined?? because i know for sure I can get $60 for the DS alone, it's the Gamecube I don't know about.

Gamecube will be anywhere from $5-20. It's low that's for sure.

no... it wasnt crack she was on... some maangers tell the employees not to give TIV's over the phone... i live in markham as well... the EB games at markville i always get the TIV's from my friend who works there if i call in, but some ppl there will not give the TIV's... same with the woodbine and hwy 7 store and the bayview and major mac one.... its all about the employee... id say about 50% of the employees will give it to u and 50% wont...

no one mentioned but the current deal right now is that if u trade in ur DS lite and one game that has a TIV of $8+, u can get the new DSI for $100....
not saying u want it... but check what they will give u for just the DS lite... assuming that the $8 tiv game gets rounded up to $20, that means they are giving u $80 for ur DS lite... and $100 of ur own money or credit... u can always do that deal, then return the DSI unopened and get the $200 in credit... if ur planning to buy stuff from EB anyway, then it might be worth it to get $30 in credit (if the DS lite gives u $50) by just putting up ur own $100 extra in credit and return it...
gamecube u probably wont get much at all for the console..rather have it collect dust then trade it in.... i bought one (then returned it) back in october or so when zellers was clearing out their gamecube and paper wario bundle for 39.99.... so getting more than 5-10 dollars for the console would be lucky...just keep it :)

DS Lite - $75+tax
Gamecube - probably $10+tax
No one wants a Gamecube on BST though because the Wii has full backwards-compatibility. Most people keep the GC controllers though.

I was in an EB a few days ago and the person next to me was trading in a GameCube for $8. I actually felt pain.
